We’re making up for lost time! It just so happens that we never recorded an episode 134, so we’re filling in the blanks before next week’s EPISODE 300 by taking a listener request topic: the best butts in comics! We mention some of the greatest hits, but overall have a discussion about objectification, who gets to have a good butt, and how they get to show that butt.

We do a Young Avengers double-take by reading the first five issues of the 2012 run by Keiron Gillen and Jamie McKelvy. In this comic, a hodge-podge group of heroes bands together to fend off an attack from an interdimensional monster. That one of them summoned. Because of melodrama. Even so, some of these characters are great and the amazing artwork by McKelvie makes this title a joy to read. For more information on past or future shows, visit www.AtomicPoweredSuperCast.com!
Our Marvel Young’uns series starts off with “Young Avengers: Sidekicks” by Allan Heinberg. In the wake of the disbanding of the Avengers, a group of young kids comes together to try and fill there shoes. Only problem: one of them is actually a mortal enemy of the Avengers. We talk about the writer’s cojones, the emergence of Kate Bishop, and why Marvel doesn’t have sidekicks. For more information on past or future shows, visit www.AtomicPoweredSuperCast.com!
